The stone has been rolled, now we know that we are not fooled.

Because the fullness of our faith is when Christ is resurrected from the dead.

When Christ rises again, we know that our faith is not in vain.
He is alive and in Him, we are alive as well.

It gives us hope that no one can constrain us from our situation.

The stone has been rolled for us to give us the assurance that there is life after death.

Giving us the courage to triumph over every adversary.

The stone has been rolled for us to be free. Free from our sin and freedom from anyone who makes us slaves.

No more chain can bound us, no more stone can hold us because indeed we are free.

Have a blessed Easter Sunday

John 20: 11-18:

Is it not that most of us wept in the past because of losing someone so dear to us?

Is it that some of us after separation have experience loneliness; brokenness and felt so vulnerable that we wept until we find it normal after a while.

Are we weeping because of a tragic incident in the past that till now, we can get over?

The topic is so provocative; do not weep on an empty tomb.

Now on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene came early to the tomb, while it was still dark and saw that the stone was already been rolled.

So she ran out to Simon Peter and the other disciples and said to them that the stone had been rolled and taken away the Lord out of the tomb.

So Peter and the other disciples went forth and they were going to the tomb but what they found was a tomb with empty wrapping linen lying.

The disciples returned back to their homes except for Mary who remain standing outside the tomb weeping.

Verse 11 says that Mary was still outside the tomb weeping, and as she wept, she stooped and looked at the tomb.

Mary was so emotionally affected by what happened as only a few days back, she witnessed how her Lord was brutally punished and sentenced to death.

Mary of Magdala cried when the Lord died and when they buried Him. But the weight of her agony was increased when she realized that the Lord’s body was missing.

Like Mary, maybe we asked ourselves when all of this torment will end?

When will all this emotional distress likely stop?

Why is it that after all of the beatings, the lashes and the nailing of Him on the cross, have they not finished yet? Now they took Him away from the tomb.

Some of us can relate to Mary’s experience.

There are many times that we cry and weep over things we cannot understand.

We ask ourselves why and we just weep on the things we cannot control.

Mary cannot get it over.

She wept and stooped looking where the tomb was.

In our life, we cry over spilt milk and we are sorry about it.

We regret a job that was lost or disappointed in a failed interview because we thought that was already our dream job. We talk about it and we cannot go over it.

You feel sorry for a husband or a wife whom you have been for decades but suddenly disappear because you found someone new. You wept and stooped looking at an empty wall, staring at your photographs, reminiscing your memory and asking what have been wrong.

You feel sad that you let your chances pass by without taking any action. You look at an unending horizon asking what you will do next.

But never wept and look at that empty tomb because the very thing that we are looking at is not our end.

An empty tomb is not a scene of emptiness but a fulfilment of God’s promises.

God promises us not an empty tomb but a life of fullness and rewarding promises.

When Moses and the Israelites were at the brink of their end, God said to Moses “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the sons of Israel to go forward. As for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, and the sons of Israel shall go through the midst of the sea on dry land.”

We cannot wait to just stare and wait for the enemy to attack us.

We cannot just wait for the circumstances to consume and have control over us rather we have to move forward.

Lift up our eyes on God rather than look down on the tomb.

Raise up our eyes on Jesus that was risen rather than stooping on the tomb where he was laid.

We have to take up our staff like Moses and command the sea of depression, loneliness, and hopelessness to be divided so that we could be able to walk past through dry land of peace, hope and victory.

Verse 15 says “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom you are seeking?”

We cry and wept at times that we cannot understand what is happening?

At the time, they did not yet realize and understand what the Scriptures say about Him that He must rise again from the dead.

Many times we also cry and feel depressed because we fail to understand the promises that God have for us.

Don’t be so focused on the empty tomb that we neglect to see the risen Lord.

Don’t be so entertained by the feeling of emptiness but rather focus on the fullness of God’s promises.

God’s words are what we can rely on. It is true and it will come to pass.

Isaiah 12:10-11 says “For just as the rains and snow come down from heaven, and do not return without watering the earth and making it bear and sprout, and furnishing the seed to the sower and the bread to the eater; so will My word be which goes forth from my mouth, it will not return to me empty without accomplishing my desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.”

Verse 15 Jesus says ‘Whom you are seeking?”

Whom do you seek right now?

Are you looking for someone that will not come back anymore or something that could never be restored?

Are we looking for evidence or a sign?

If we are looking for evidence, the fact will force us to believe.

After all the evidence and facts are presented, there will be no more room to doubt but believe.

But Jesus who was not in the tomb is a sign for many for us to believe but we have the choice.

Seek for Jesus…seek for His promise because He is alive.

Verse 16 says Jesus said to her “ Mary!” she turned and said to Him in Hebrew “Rabboni!” which means, Teacher)

When God called us, He will always call us by our name.

When God called us by our name, imagine what will happen.

When Jesus called the name of Lazarus, Lazarus came back to life. His blood might already be coagulated, his heart already stopped pumping, his body was totally frozen but calling his name, his heart stop beating and his frozen body started to move again.

No matter what you are into. You might be in deep trouble right now.

You might be totally broken but when God called your name, you can’t imagine what would happen.

May your happiness be full as He has risen.

Philippians 3:13-14

All of us have dreams.

The question in front of us is, “are all those dreams still alive, or have they all disappeared like a vapor dew?”

Many of us were all vibrant and full of hope when we were young, we dream dreams. Almost excited that we can change the world, to make things happen.

But along the way, with so many disappointments and failures; we never dream again.

We surrender our goals and forget to dream again.

We just make excuses that dreaming is all for the young.

But even when we grow old, our dreams change to where God is leading us.

Dare to Dream

To dare means:

Do Action Regardless of Eventualities.

Dreams is a DEDICATED RESOLVE that EMANATES from our core gifts and life purpose, ASPIRING for the highest goal possible, MOVING FORWARD with confidence into a SUCCESSFUL and tangible results.

It’s a dedicated resolve, a decision that revs us up to focus on what to aspire with greater importance for us.

Any decision we make emanates from our gifts given to us by God and our core life purpose.

That is why when you decided to keep your relationship in marriage, you decided to love with a single purpose you want to spend the rest of your days with the man or woman you love and what God has given to you.

We always aspire for the highest goal possible because it stretches us out. It gives us challenges.

It brings out the faith in us, it brings out the best in us.

When we dream, we move forward with confidence knowing that we have God on our side.

We keep it in our mind and in our heart that it is His will and plan to prosper us and give us a good future.

All this endeavor is to taste and see the fruit of all our aspirations.

The result of all our decisions to move forward in pursuing our highest goals possible with much confidence, fueled by our core gifts and life purpose is to turn it into successful and tangible results.

Dreams that could be touched, dreams that could be seen, dreams that could be tasted.

“Taste and see how good our God can be”.

God will turn our visions into realizations, He will turn our dreams into reality.

Maaring ang isang bagay ay imposible subalit sa Diyos ito’y napangyayari

Getting rid of failures and disappointments

After so many failures and disappointments, we never dream again.

Hopeless that those aspirations will come to reality.

We made so many excuses, we dug holes where we can bury them.

All those regrets, we don’t want to remember them anymore. The more we remember, it reminds ourselves of our inability to make things happen, our weaknesses, and our limitations.

But don’t bury our dreams, but keep them with us because this gives us inspiration.

Dreams give us hope.

Burying that dream, we stay in our comfort zone. Like an eagle who lost the ability to fly, we prefer to stay with the chicken.

We build a bed on our situation.

Because staying with people with the same experience, gives you the alibi and comfort that what you become normal.

Being lame is normal when you are surrounded by people who cannot walk. Being a chicken is normal when you surround yourself with chicken.

To get out from being normal, then pursue your dreams and find your way out of your norm and comfort zone.

Be ready for a radical change.

But we cannot just stay where we are.

Because God has a perfect plan for all of us different from ours.

If other people had wavered in their dreams, some people dreamt but their dreams were not realized because God has a different plan for them.

Like St Paul, he had already a plan in his head and in his heart and he was resolved to fulfill it no matter what.

But something happened, he was walking on the wrong road. The road to Damascus was his turning point.

The change was so radical that he needed to despise himself. He needed to forget his own dreams. He was required to change the course of his journey toward the road that leads him to the path where God had called him.

He counted it a loss for the sake of Jesus Christ.

In the Middle of Crossroads

Now is 2019 and we may be in the middle of our crossroads.

We are perplexed about what to do next.

New year resolutions are not enough to make some radical change in our life.

We need to decide, we need to act.

Leave behind all our failures and shortcomings in previous years and let it be our inspiration to do something better for these years and the years ahead.

Let our battle cry be CHANGE IS COMING

Let us direct our hope and our ambition towards achieving something great.

May your happiness be full.

Luke 7:37-50

Convert Your Guilt

One of the many struggles that most of us experience is carrying the weight of our guilt.

Because no one is exempted, each one of us in one way or another had committed mistakes, bad choices, wrong decisions, and loss of self-control.

But the guilt in a positive way indicates that there is a voice inside of us screaming that we have not lived the best life we should live.

It’s a powerful voice reminding us that we missed meeting the standards that we ought to live and if we are aware of it, we open ourselves to a better version of ourselves.

We can only lift the weight of our guilt when we begin to own it.

We can only pass through the struggles of our guilt when we admit it.

We cannot impose our own prison and punishment for our mistakes.

We need help and let this article enlighten us as we learn from the experience of the woman in the story.

There was a woman in the city who was a sinner, a gate crasher in a Pharisee’s house who learned that Jesus was reclining at the table, she brought an alabaster vial of perfume.

And standing behind Him at His feet, weeping she began to wet His feet with her tears and keep wiping them with the hair of her head, kissing His feet and anointing them with perfume.

The Pharisee who invited Jesus felt annoyed and maybe uncomfortable and said something to himself raising the question if really this Jesus a prophet who allowed Himself to be touched by a sinner.

The woman’s action was beyond what the Pharisees can understand but for the sinner, it was her way of expressing her gratitude to the man who saved her life.

That is the reason, we cannot judge a person, a narrative story, or a situation unless we know the truth.

Guilt had moved this woman to do good gestures to Jesus others seem to think that she was crazy.

She transformed her guilt into a gesture of gratitude.

The woman might say to herself “I may have done what they say I did, but I am not what they say I am.”

Because there are times that we do something that does not reflect who we are.

Yes, I am ashamed because I should not be supposed to do what I ought not to do.

I am ashamed that I deviate from what is expected of me to act responsibly, act morally, and be accountable.

I admit I have missed the mark, but I must try again to do it better the next time around.

Our guilt should not pin us down to what others say, but a turning point to prove that there is a better version of me that I must unleash.

One of the consequences of our actions is what other people might say about us.

It is hard to defend ourselves when there is truth in what they say about ourselves.

“Mahirap ipagtanggol ang ating sarili kung may katotohanan sa kanilang sinasabi’

Sometimes it’s not what other tells about you but what yourself is telling yourself.

“Bakit ko nagawa ito? Hindi ko ginusto na mangyari ito!”

It’s harder when the screaming on the inside is louder than the murmuring from the outside.

It’s more difficult to defend ourselves when our inner conviction is stronger than what others are telling about us.

This is more stressful, and it takes away the peace that we should have.

Guilt gives us more burden and we want to ease this burden.

What we usually do to alleviate this experience of guilt is change the plot of the story so that it becomes more acceptable.

We revise the narrative of our story by focusing on how they were made to commit that sins.

We try to focus the story not on ourselves but on others making us less guilty about what we did.

We ask and solicit sympathy from friends and kin to us who will tell you “No problem, it’s not your fault”

But unresolved guilt is toxic to our soul because we let it sink into us.

We live in a lie and untruthfulness and God will not favor any act out of truth.

A sin covered by another sin. We become a prisoner of sin and it holds us back to be free.

We cannot be delivered because we cannot admit the truth.

We can remove the toxic guilt when we admit we did it.

Living in a lie is not anesthesia to numb the pain of burden caused by guilt.

Because among all, it is you who knows the truth.

We cannot live ourselves in denial.

We can only alleviate the weight of guilt when we start to own it.

The only person who can fix it is yours.

God cannot help us unless we surrender and admit to ourselves that we are responsible and accountable.

We need to humble ourselves to be able to say “I am sorry!”

We need to be humble to ask forgiveness that we committed the sin.

We can only own it when we humble ourselves admitting that we became weak.

Guilt should change our behavior into a positive character is a powerful thing.

Otherwise, it will be the opposite. It will make us angry and depressed like Cain.

It is good to be guilty and be humble and pull down your pride and say I am sorry.

It is good to be guilty and look for those people whom you’ve sinned and look them in the eyes with sincerity asking for an apology.

The woman converted her guilt into a change of new character, into a new person others don’t expect.

She humbles herself and owns the weight of her guilt by living a renewed person away from where she used to be.

The prodigal son had experienced the same guilt and converted it so that he could become a new son again to a loving Father.

You can surrender and said to your partner or friend that you are tired of this situation fighting over and over again.

We cannot have a revival without repentance.

We don’t need a church of guilty people who never repentant of their sins.

We don’t need a church of people attending mass every Sunday, singing, and dancing, listening to the Word of God convicted but never repented.

Guilt shall bring us to repentance.

When the people of Nineveh heard the voice of God through the prophet Jonah, they felt the guilt and repented of their sins.

As long as the people will stick to their own version of their story and will say to themselves it is not me whom the priest or the preacher is referring to, no matter whose prophet will come there will be no healing and revival to happen.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
-2 Chronicles 7:14

The woman is crying at the feet of Jesus because of her mixed feeling of guilt and gratitude.

Remember this woman who was caught in the act of adultery and was about to die in the hands of the crowds who were ready to stone her to death?

But Jesus forgives her for that moment.

Again, in this encounter at the Pharisee’s house, Jesus reassured her that her sins were forgiven.

Only if we stop making excuses and justifying what we have done, God can fix everything and remove the weights of guilt in us.

God can forgive our sins. Jesus had shed the blood for the forgiveness of our sin.

I can remove the stains of any guilt and sins if you humble yourselves.

Instead of living in guilt, convert your guilt to gratitude.

Live our life away from guilt and live in gratitude.

Yes, I am not worthy to be free, but I am grateful Jesus died to set me free.

I am destined to hell because of my past but thanks to the grace of God.

I do not deserve anything of these because of what I have done but by grace, He continues to bless me.

I am grateful I live in the grace of God.

Every door that He opens is a grace of God.

To God be the glory.

Everything I have is a grace and this is a grateful attitude of the woman in front of Jesus washing His feet.

Guilt that can change is a good thing, but how about those that we cannot fix it anymore?

How about those things that cannot be undone anymore?

How about the child that I killed from my womb?

How about the sins that cannot be repaired anymore which I am part of?

God’s grace is sufficient for our needs.

We don’t need to live in guilt, we need to walk in the state of grace and let that new life we found in Jesus be seen in us.

Let the same grace we received be shared with others.

Remember the parable of two debtors, the more who owe and forgive have loved the lenders more.

Our guilt shall push us more to love our God more as He deserves more.

May your grace be full,

Water your Dreams

All of us have dreams.

The question in front of us is are all those dreams still alive or have they all disappeared like a vapour dew.

Many of us were all vibrant and full of hope when we were young, we dream dreams. Almost excited that we can change the world, to make things happen.

But along the way, with so many disappointments and failures; we never dream again.

We surrender our goals and forget to dream again.

We make excuses that dreaming is for all the young.

We dare to dream.

Getting rid of failures and disappointments

After so many failures and disappointments, we never dream again.

We feel hopeless that those aspirations will come into reality.

We made so many excuses, we dug holes where we can bury them.

All those regrets, we don’t want to remember them anymore.

The more we remember, it reminds our inability to make things happen, our weaknesses and our limitations.

So, we stay in our comfort zone. Like an eagle who lost the ability to fly, we prefer to mingle with the chicken.

Sometimes, we build a bed on our situation.

Because staying with people with the same experience gives us the alibi and relief that where we are is normal.

Being lame is normal when you are surrounded by people who cannot walk.

Gossiping becomes normal when all the people you know are a gossiper.

Have we ever had our dreams so near, so close yet it’s difficult to achieve?

Then we blame others for our failures.

Like the man in Bethesda, he wanted to get to the pool but he blamed his inability to be healed because no one takes him to the pool.

For 38 long years, he was there near the pool waiting for miracles to happen.

Have you already put a bed on your situation?

Be ready for a radical manoeuvring

But we cannot just stay where we are.

Because God has a perfect plan for all of us different from ours.

If other people had wavered in their dreams, some people dreamt but their dreams were not realized because God has a different plan for them.

Like St Paul, he had already a plan in his head and in his heart. He was resolved to fulfil it no matter what.

But something happened along the way, he was walking on the wrong road.

The road to Damascus was his turning point.

The change was so radical that he needed to despise himself.

He needed to forget his dreams. He was required to change the course of his journey toward the road that leads to the path where God had called him.

From Damascus to Jesus.

He counted it a loss for the sake of Jesus Christ.

Never worry if your dreams did not material because God has another plan for you.

The Recipe for Success

Colonel Harland Sanders never gave up even though he faced a lot of rejection.

He was already in his seventies when the best of things come in his life.

The recipe for his success is not on the secret recipe of his chicken alone but also due to his motivation not to give up on his dreams.

The thing that can make you discouraged might the same thing that could fuel your dreams if you never give up.

Take that last ounce of courage and let it take you to the next level.

Never give up on your dreams and your dreams will never give up on you.

In the Middle of Crossroads

We may be in the middle of our crossroads today.

We are perplexed about what to do next.

New Year resolutions are not enough to make some radical change in our life.

We need to decide, we need to act.

Leave behind all our failures and shortcomings in the previous years and let it be our inspiration to do something better for this year and the years ahead.

Let our battle cry be “CHANGE IS COMING!”

But to be able to live this battle cry, we need to water our dreams.

Water Our Dreams

It’s not enough that dreams are planted inside of us because without watering them, they will die.

The destiny of dreams cannot be realized if we fail to water it.

Our dreams become alive when someone is watering us, inspiring us to continue despite anything that happens in our life.

This message is not about planting dreams in you, I am just watering what is already inside of you.

I want to refresh and revive the long-forgotten dreams you had that roots were hampered because we failed to water that dreams.

Never expect to have fruits unless you have your dream to take roots.

The transition from planting that seed of dreams to increasing is watering.

Proverbs 29:18 “where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained”

We need to have a clear vision of what we wanted to do. For without it, people perish.

They become wild and uncontrolled because they don’t know the destination they wanted to pursue.

Vision set the tone of our journey and this emanates from our dreams, our aspirations, and from our hopes.

To aspire does not mean only to dream but to pursue that dreams.

We don’t need to stay in a corner daydreaming but we need to follow the path where the dreams are leading us.

We direct our hope and our ambition towards achieving something great.

Our aspirations help us to focus and set the directions we have to go.

It is our dreams, our aspirations that give us excitement that fuels us towards our destiny.

Our destiny is like a magnet and our dreams are like metal. Our destiny pulls us towards it if we have that dreams which are alive in us.

Dreams make us vibrant, alive, hopeful, awake and full of zeal.

To dream is not when we are asleep because dreams should make us awake.

What happens to that dreams you had, does it still wake you up?

Many people don’t achieve their dreams because they don’t want it bad enough.

It’s not enough that we have dreams and goals.

It’s not enough that we pursue and chase that elusive dreams.

We need to acquire the skills to make that dream a reality.

We should equip ourselves to ready ourselves when we get there.

We just don’t aspire to be a good and anointed preacher but we have to study and learn and acquire hours to meditate on the Word of God.

We don’t just pursue happiness but we learn how we could be happy and in the process understand what really makes us happy.

Laughter is good medicine but when we laugh without any reason then we need good medicine.

When God has a plan for us, He has drawn us from where we are into an experience where we could learn…not to harm us but to build us.

Moses was drawn out from the water to the palace to learn the ways of the Egyptians. To learn leadership, to experience to be rich and have enough.

He doesn’t want us to be in a fight where we are not prepared.

Because life is tough.

The enemy is merciless.

We acquire knowledge from education.

Learning from the books that we read, the people that taught us, from our pastors and spiritual directors.

We acquire learning through intense and massive hearing and listening.

To acquire, we don’t focus on where we are weak but we concentrate on our strengths.

When we concentrate on our strong points, we increase our belief and our confidence.

And what we will do with our weaknesses? accept the areas where we are vulnerable and delegate them.

You need people that would bring you to where you want to go, just like a paralytic man the man who was lying on his bed, he had his four friends who were able to tear the roof and took him down to Jesus.

Look for people who are willing to tear down walls that hinder your way to the achievement of your dreams.

Some people could help you achieve your dreams, you need only to find the right team.

You have to find the right partner, the right people who are also a dreamer.

You need someone who will water your dreams and not a dream killer.

Avoid toxic people that pump you with discouraging words that decrease your morale and pull you down.

FAITH without action is dead.

What is knowing without doing?

EMANATES from our Core gifts & life purpose

ASPIRING for the highest goal possible

MOVING forward with confidence into a

SUCCESSFUL and tangible results

Taking the first step is the hardest because we are being seized by our fear.

The fear of losing money if we put it in stocks; if we invest it in mutual funds or if we start our own business if we invest it in a real estate.

The fear of losing the regular streams of our salary if we concentrate on venturing into our own business.

Do it afraid until you’re not afraid anymore.

Our dreams could only be tangible if we start making them happen.

Landing on the moon was just a dream but because they decided to do it despite all its impossibilities, they made it possible.

Because to achieve our dreams, we have to pay it in advance.

People who delayed their gratification achieved their dreams and goals because they paid it in full.

To apply is the willingness to sacrifice.

God desired to restore our relationship with Him, so Jesus paid it in full in advance.

Our salvation was paid fully in advance.

If you wanted to be promoted in your job, you have to work for it first.

If you dreamt to increase your wealth, you have to invest your capital first.

Investing is not about money alone but you are investing your time, your gratification, your sweats, your talents and your skills.

You pay it in full because what you see on the seed is not its smallness but you see it as a tree.

You don’t look at your small investment as an expense but as a seed.

You never give up doing what is good because you know that at the proper time you will harvest your good deeds.

Every random act of kindness, every small deed of goodness is an investment in heaven.

Do it and you will feel motivated to do it

Zig Ziglar

The most difficult part of our journey toward achieving our dreams is the transition process.

Unless we put ourselves into it, we can never be able to learn it.

Habits are Character

Motivation is what gets you started. Habits are what keep you going

Jim Rohn

Whatever dreams we have, learn to surrender them to Him.

His plan for us is better than our plan for ourselves because He knows best.

The last thing I ask from you is not to settle for less.

Dream big dreams and the universe will conspire to let it be a reality.

May your BIG dreams bring Big blessings to the world,

Mark 4:4-12

 Seeds of Possibilities

Anything alive grows and anything that grows multiplies.

Are we growing something in our life that we want to multiply and harvest?

But sometimes, many of us are growing and nourishing so many things that are supposed to be buried.

We grow our pride and ego, some grow hatred and indifference, and we nourish our weaknesses rather than our strength. We grow our debts rather than wealth.

What are those areas in your life that you want to grow?

Because understanding the importance of good seeds planted in good ground and how God makes them mature, will allow us to harvest fruits in hundred folds.

Let us understand today one of God’s principles of how to claim His blessing of abundance.

Every seed has a destiny. Every seed has possibilities.

Our topic is how to receive the Seeds of Possibilities.

God hides his blessing in the seed form.

He allows his blessings concealed in the form of seed so that he will know that our motives are pure and true.

He allows it to sprout its roots inside of you, let it become part of your system until this becomes alive in you.

Because many people will try to snatch it from us.

There are a lot of people who recognize you because you have the fruits. There are a lot of people who not will respect and recognizes us while we don’t have yet the roots.

The blessing is in the seeds so that when we value it on its small humble beginning, God knows that we could be trusted even when we are given full-blown blessings.

People don’t realize that there is always destiny in every seed.

We cannot belittle the seeds that are being planted in us.

What the seeds could be is beyond what you imagine they will be because God had already given them with destiny.

God wants us to see the grape seed, not in its seed form but look at it as a grape vineyard, an apple seed to be an apple orchard.

Is it unusual that God planted the seeds of greatness in us but He will not show you the in-between?

The blessings for Joseph were in a seed form when God showed him in a dream that he will be a ruler and yet God never disclosed that the seeds of greatness in him shall be developed, nourished, and grown in the process he least expected.

If we have the seeds of destiny planted in us, God can bless us even if we are inside the pit of our circumstances, even at the bottom of hardships, and even inside the prison of our uncertainties.

If God blesses us inside the prison, God can bless us in the palace. Because we have planted with the seeds of possibilities hidden in a seed form.

Is it not amazing to stand in awe looking at a big tree when you know and witness how small it really started?

It is not enough that seed has to be planted, the seed has to be watered.

Water is a trauma to the seeds.

Because water makes its seed vulnerable, it exposes it to peeling its old skin.

Watering slowly kills the seed in its form so that it re-births to a new life form, better and bigger than it was before.

Watering makes you restless because the energy it produces in the seeds moves you to become what God wants you to be.

The Word of God that is watering that seed planted in us will not allow us to be contented until something happens in our life.

Just like Prophet Elisha, when he was watered by Prophet Elijah, he was inspired to take the path his master was doing. He left his farming, kill the oxen, and cooked with the yoke he used for plowing. Because he was watered.

The seeds that were planted in him became alive and it took roots that moves him to be the successor of His teacher Elijah.

But the question is how we can receive that seed of possibilities in our life?

It is not that the seed is not good why does it never flourish it also depends on what type of soil it was sown.

We don’t blame the failure on the seed because its possibility also determined which soil it landed on.

We cannot blame that the Word of God is not effective, that it has no power; nor is the speaker not anointed. Are we a good ground for the seed to grow?

Therefore, if we want every good seed to grow in our life, we have to ask ourselves, what type of soil we are.

Mk 4:4 “the seeds fell beside the road and the bird came and ate it up.”

It’s good to have a passive income but not to have a passive heart.

The seeds were snatched out and eaten up.

Passive means we allow it to pass and come but we don’t have any response or any action at all.

A passive heart and mind will not even give chance to the seed to sprout because we don’t want to give a chance for His Words to work in us.

We refuse to be planted with something good because we immediately close our life for a new opportunity to bloom.

Our mind is not open to new possibilities, a new trend, new technology, and new ways because we wanted to stay where we were.

Our reservations and hesitations, our disbelief will not give us any chance so that the power of His Words come to life and have its effect on us.

Are we this type of soil that there a lot of opportunity passes because we never have the time to entertain them?

Any person with a passive attitude misses the chance to grow and receive the blessings that the seed brings.

Because they don’t see that the seed has the possibilities.

Mk 4:5 “Other seed fell on the rocky ground where it did not have much soil and it immediately sprung up because it had no depth of soil”.

Again, this does not mean that the seed is not good but the receiver has not had enough capacity to accept the seeds he received.

These are the type of people who are shallow in the sense that they can see only what is in front of them.

They cannot see the whole picture or the possibilities and what good the seed has to bring because they focus only on the tip of the iceberg.

The good thing, they give the chance for the Words to take root but since they don’t have depth, they never flourish.

They received the Word of God with joy but when trials come they waver in their faith. Not enough roots.

These are the type of people who attend the fellowship to ask for blessings but never come back when prayer was not granted.

In a relationship, they only consider that the other woman is more “malambing” or caring but they don’t realize that the real wife has more concerns to make the family one.

People who give more focus on instant gratification will never be wealthy because they are superficial. Their psychological wallet is small and they don’t have the depth and capacity to handle money.

There is a saying that “never give up your investments’ because when you are old, they will be your blessings to feed you. But so many exchanges the chance of having it because they desire the luxury of granting their “moment gratifications”.

Many OFW doesn’t see the blessings on the seed form because they put it in a balikbayan box or plant it somewhere where it takes no roots.

I like people who have roots because their faith will eventually make them rooted in times of storms and difficulties.

They hear the Word, accept it but the worries of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and desire for other things enter in and choke the Word and it becomes unfruitful

These are the type of people whose desire for riches overcomes their desires for God.

Their worries are greater than their faith.

Anxieties of this world choke them that their mind cannot focus on what the Word of God brings.

To be rich and wealthy is not bad because I believe that God wants us to be rich and wealthy. Our God shall supply our needs according to His riches in glory and He is our God more than enough.

To be blessed is good as long as we know that we are just a channel where it should flows. But when we close the pipe and divert it only for our own good, then the blessings will eventually stop.

With the deceitfulness of riches and desires for other things once entered into our system, we will be unfruitful.

Deceitfulness and lust are brothers of destruction.

A deceitful person can always play and maneuver a lustful person, and a lustful person always looks up to someone who can deceive him.

We cannot deceive a person about things who don’t have the lust for it.

A lustful person will always be deceived by the riches of this world because riches always offer it cannot deliver.

The riches of this world offer you happiness, peace, and comfort but I find more people on the streets sleep well than those who sleep in a costly hotel.

People with suicidal tendencies are mostly celebrities who are wealthy because they cannot stand the pressures and stress of life. They became unfruitful.

A good seed will always flourish when planted in good ground.

Its fruits are thirty, some are sixty and others are hundred-folds.

When the Word of God is planted on a person with a good heart, that person shines. That person blooms and becomes a blessing to so many.

God is looking for people who have a good attitude toward life. These are people who inspire others.

They are like a lamp placed on a lampstand whose light affects those who are in darkness, confused, and lost.

A good man blessed with wealth becomes a channel of blessings to others. Money in the hand of a wicked man becomes wicked but becomes a blessing when it’s received by a good man.

God will always look at what is your motive and He wanted to bless the seed to those He knows have the capacity and depth to handle it.

What are riches and wealth if after it has been given to you, you don’t attend church on Sunday anymore because you have to play golf? Or you miss fellowship because you are busy waxing your car.

You have too much riches but you don’t have time anymore for your kids and your spouse.

The seeds flourish in a good environment so that they could yield more fruits and do their purpose.

Good soil has its own capacities. To compare as St Paul is not wise to do so.

In so doing, never be jealous or envious of people who have a hundred folds if you are the thirty seeds types of soil because they have more capacity than you.

If you can be trusted with Thirty, God will increase it eventually. But people who cannot bear the fruits they have, it will be taken out from them and added to those who have the hundreds.

May you be a good soil worthy to receive the seed of possibilities that God gives.

1 Corinthians 3:6

Water Your Seeds

Are you expecting something in your life that could grow this year?

We can only expect something that could grow if there were seeds that were sown in us.

We never expect to harvest unless there is something that we had planted.

What kind of seeds you are growing?

Are these seeds are seeds of greatness, seeds of faith, seeds of love, the seeds of goodness, seeds of wisdom, seeds of abundance and so on?

The quality of our harvest depends on the quality of seed that we planted.

Never expect to harvest harmony and peace when you are sowing seeds of division.

Only plant and water seeds that only you want to grow.

Never sow seeds that you don’t want to harvest.

In our text, Paul says that “I planted, Apollo watered and God gives the increase.”

No matter who had planted or watered the seeds in us, at the end of the day, it is God who gives the increase.

It is God who causes the growth.

Be careful of what seeds you are planting because what you are sowing, you will reap.

If we are so excited to harvest on what we planted, God is earnest to see that the tree bears many fruits.

Remember how Jesus cursed the fig tree who found to have no fruits (Mark 11:14)

God looks for fruits and He will cut down trees that don’t grow fruits (John 15:2).

That is why it is not enough that someone has planted it.

The transition and process from planting to harvesting are watering.

The seeds that were planted have no destiny unless it’s being watered.

That dreams that are inside of you has no destiny unless it’s being watered.

Someone might have planted that aspirations, that dreams, that goals but without someone to water it, it will just die.

The seeds of God’s wisdom that was planted in your heart by a preacher, by a Pastor, by a Priest or whoever God uses is not enough that it’s only sown.

It should be watered and taken care of until the roots sprout and a bud shoot from the ground.

We need to water the seeds.

In the beginning, God created destiny on every creation He created.

He had given destiny to every seed when He said, “let there be…” so that He will not say “let there be” anymore every time a new tree or new life form.

That is why we don’t judge the seed on its small form because it has its own destiny.

A forest could start from a handful of seeds. The world was populated from a single seed of Adam and Eve.

The seeds that were planted on you have destiny if it’s only been watered.

We don’t judge our dreams and our aspirations or even other dreams that they are too small because every seed of dreams planted in us if watered has its destiny.

Seeds that are buried in the ground is hidden but its destiny shall be exposed over time.

Is it not that every seed that was sown in us is concealed and while it’s still hidden, we thought that our future is grey?

While the seeds were still enclosed, we see no light because the seed has still no roots. Sometimes it is still covered with many doubts, questions on how this will come into life.

When we are in this state of asking ourselves, we don’t have yet the assurance that the seeds will grow, we thought that we are buried.

Sometimes we are buried by so many problems, uncertainties, doubts, lack of skills and resources and we see our future as grey. But the reality is, God did not bury us; we were planted.

And because we were planted, we have a destiny.

The realization of that destiny is by watering the seeds.

Many young minds with great potentials became despicable because wicked seeds were planted in them. This makes worse when it’s watered by wicked thoughts.

They became the problem of society and bringing fear and terror to so many.

Many women in some parts of the world lost the grip of its abilities because they were not watered. They treat them as a second-class citizen.

There’s a lot of children who ended up in the streets because their parents failed to inspire them and the leaders failed to guide them.

Watering is inspiring the mind, the heart and the life of people, so that whatever planted in them grows and be fruitful.

But what is watering if there were no seed planted?

Water will not work if nothing is planted in you.

It’s good to take a bath.  It’s refreshing but not to the seeds.

Water brings pain and suffering to the seeds.

It is done not to please you nor give you comfort, its purpose to slowly kill our old self, to replace our old beliefs systems, change our old mindsets and to replace our old habits and character.

Changing our self-belief is a tough decision to do because we need to be radical.

It makes the seed’s skin to decay so that it helps the inside to shoot out.

Watering will help our roots to bud and that good things in us to sprout.

We must be dead of ourselves if we want to re-birth with a more vibrant destiny.

To be a better person, watering kills our pride, it will show us our weakness.

To be a better investor and grow the seed of abundance, it will highlight our past spending habits. We need to cut-off unnecessary expenses and debts and opens you to focus on your economic activities.

To grow a fruitful relationship, watering the seeds will uncover you to start forgiving and start loving the person without any reservations.

If you want to be renewed, be ready to be disturbed

Watering makes the encasement expand.

The words of encouragement will expand our mindset and it will leave us restless.

There is something that makes us restless until we reach that destiny of what we really meant to be.

As St Augustine said, “My heart won’t rest until it rests in you.”

Because watering push us to the threshold of our weakness to strength, from our fear to courage, from our doubt to our self-belief,

Our big why becomes clearer than before; our core purpose and mission come to life.

This clarity makes us sure of who we are and where we want to go

When you allow God to water you, you allow Him to disturb you.

Watering exposes the truth of who we really are, that we were born to be victorious, that God has a better plan for us, that we were gifted and  we possessed talent and skills to flourish, that we are not alone, that we have inherent power to succeed, that we are unique and no ordinary.

Knowing the truth about us highlights more of our future image than of who we are before, unleash the intrinsic will to move ahead.

Watering exposes us from what was impossible before to what is possible today.

It exposes that our current situation is just temporary and we have to go through a process of transformation.

Because of our roots started to shoot down, our buds started to shoot up.

Being planted make us covered by darkness, doubts, fear, and lack of will. But by watering us, we are being exposed to our new possibility.

To be exposed to knowledge and wisdom from people’s insight and experience, from God’s Words and inspirations; we started to become strong and to stand on our own.

Watering exposes us to be wealthy by starting to change our mindset and habit on how we deal with every blessing that we receive. That the subject of money is not taboo because this is God’s instrument for our blessings and we can also be his channel of blessings for others.

We started to be mature until we are ready to face different challenges outside our comfort zones. We are strong enough to face storms.

Watering brings new hope and rays of light in us.

Watering erases any doubts in our mind that we could be changed and forgiven no matter how sinful we are. That His love could change us to be a better person.

No amount of guilt that could not be washed by the unsurmountable love God has given us.

We could be watered by God, by people, and by our experience

Elisha left his farm, killed his oxen and cooked it with its own yoke.

Why? Because Prophet Elijah watered him. Prophet Elijah exposed him of what he could become.

Simon and Andrew left their boat and nets and became a disciple because Jesus watered them

I served in El Shaddai PPFI Ministry till now because I was once watered by our servant leader Bro. Mike Velarde twenty-five years ago. I have this desire to write because I was inspired reading and listening to Bo Sanchez books and write-ups.

For a long time, I am hesitant in Real Estate investing because of fear and lack of information how it really works but when Pastor Dan Calingasan and Mam Vangie exposed us to Real Estate Market and how the economy works, we started venturing into it.

Look for trusted people to water your dreams, your passion, your craft, your mission, your vision.

Look for a coach, a spiritual advisor, a pastor, a mentor, a marriage counselor, a financial coach that will inspire, direct and push you to your potentials.

Find someone that will motivate you; that will inspire you to become what you really meant to be.

Look for people you considered as your hero in the field that you want to succeed and follow them. Success is just a matter of copying those are successful in the field you want to be successful.

God uses His Words, other people, and your experience to water you.

Always remember that these people are not always there to please you.

There will be times that they are tough, they are firm, they tell you the truth and will ask you to do drastic things, to sacrifice, and to do radical decisions.

You will not like their ideas, their thoughts and comments but this is all essential things that will help you achieve whom you want to be.

Do not be afraid to be watered.

Because watering changes us.

We can only truly know who we can become until we are exposed.

May God water you and exposed you to your potentials,

Matthew 2:1-12

Walk toward your Stars

At the start of the year 2018, it is an opportunity for us to look back and thank God for a wonderful and blissful year God has given us in the past.

This is not a time to regret but rather to be grateful for whatever we achieved, whatever we received. Even there were failures; there were no mistakes but only lessons learned.

What has passed is history.

We have to move forward with much zeal and hope as there is always something in store and the best is yet to come.

Jesus is the bright morning star, a star that outshines all the stars.

He is the light shining, giving us hope, direction and light.

“ I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches, I am the root and descendant of David, the bright morning star.”-Revelation 12:16

We walk forward to reach Him, our star. Like the Magi, they brave the journey till they reach the star, where Jesus was lying on a manger.

All of us have our own star to follow.

What is the star that you want to reach?

What are the dreams that you want to achieve?

With that desires to walk toward Jesus, we also have our own dreams, our own little stars to achieve.

But how we could reach our little stars?

“Do you know where you’re going to? Do you like the things that life is showing you? Where are you going to? Do you know?”

These are some phrases from a popular song, Do you Know Where you’re Going by Diana Ross in 1976.

Why so many people today cannot reach their destination is precise because we don’t know where we are heading to.

We should specifically state our destination. We should know exactly where we want to go.

Like the three Magi, they know where they were heading to.

They believed that at the end of that star is where what they are looking for.

They have their star to follow.

We have to start our journey with FAITH. And why faith?

Because faith is the assurance of the things that we hoped for and being certain of things that we cannot see. (Hebrew 11:1)

Faith could not materialize until we have something to hope for.

So what are those things that you hope for?

We should know what we really want in life for this and the years to come.

Our star may be a happy united family, a strong marriage relationship, financial freedom, to be a faithful and committed servant in your ministry, pursue your passion, unleash your entrepreneurial spirit, start a business or be successful in your career.

These are just a few stars that you want to follow and reach. These are the things you hope for.

You may not yet be able to see it clearly right now. Even the Magi only see the star above but they never stop.

They believe and they were never failed.

Start our journey with faith, believing that at the end of our journey we will achieve it.

There are no failures; there are no mistakes but lessons learned.

Faith without action is dead. (James 2:14)

A hundred miles always begin with a single step.

We have to take concrete action at a time.

The magi rode their camels and start their journey. They were not satisfied just seeing the star from afar but rather walked to go for it.

You will never discover what lies beneath until we dug it.

We will never discover what awaits us on the other side until we cross it.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.- Proverbs 3:5

Take concrete action and reject all fears. Our trust should be bigger than our fears.

True courage is doing it afraid.

It does not mean that we are not afraid. Despite the feeling of fear to fail and hearing what other people might say, we act upon it.

Our action is driven by our determination to succeed no matter what.

In our journey to reach for the stars, we will meet a lot of people who don’t want us to succeed.

Like the three Magi, they have Herod to meet.

How many Herod do you have that instead of encouraging you, are pulling you down?

Some people are so negative that they don’t want you to be better than them.

Toxins are not good for our body so we get rid of them, and we get them rid out of our body.

Toxic people and toxic thoughts should not be entertained as they will slow down your pace.

Reject all the negative thoughts that belittle you but rather think positive.

Positive thinking creates positive results. Positive thoughts lift up our spirit, they boost our morale and increase our tolerance of disappointments.

Phil 4:8 “ Finally, brother and sisters, whatever is noble, whatever is true, whatever is right, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think of such thing…

Avoid people who rob your confidence and steal your morale and add toxicity level to your thoughts.

Like the three Magi, they never stopped.

They never let Herod intimidate them nor did the journey frustrate them.

There is no easy and smooth journey on the road.

Always expect the unexpected but with faith, we can conquer all these knowing that our God is always with us.

There is always a prize for those who persevere.

The tendency to complain is great but there is no room for a whiner to be a winner.

We rejoice in our sufferings knowing that suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character and character produces hope.- Romans 5:3-4

There was a beautiful song titled “The Impossible Dream” adapted from the musical play Man from La Mancha in 1964.

This is my quest
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far

To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell
For a heavenly cause

And I know if I’ll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I’m laid to my rest

And the world will be better for this
That one man scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star

Like the three Magi, they offered their gifts to Jesus.

All of us have our own unique gifts which we need to offer, which we need to share.

God has given us blessings so that we could be a blessing to others as well.

The ultimate purpose of our reaching the stars is not about ourselves but rather, this could be an instrument that we could bless people whom God has given us.

The pinnacle of reaching our destination is that we have done something that will leave an imprint on those to whom God entrusted us.

What profit a man if we gain and conquer the whole world yet lose our soul.

Our journey shall be in vain if, in the end, we attain all of the things we hope for yet for our own gain.

“And I know if I’ll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I’m laid to my rest”

You can only be peaceful and calm when at the end of all of those journeys we can say “Lord it is finished, I ran the race and am ready to receive the crown that you prepared for me..”

We have to serve God with what we received because we have to answer His question “What have you done to the least of your brother?

May the start of this year bring you a more fulfilling life toward your purpose and core value.

In summary, follow your stars…

Start your journey with faith

Take a concrete action with trust

Avoid Negative thoughts and toxic people

Reward awaits those who persevere

Serve God with the gifts you received

May your walk toward your stars,
